Tipsy is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or share your personal information. This policy explains what data the app uses and where it goes.

Data stored on your device

Tipsy stores the following data locally on your device only, using iOS UserDefaults:

• Your current bill session (bill amount, tip percentage, cash entered, currency selection)
• Your trip history (bill amounts, tips, totals, timestamps) — up to 100 entries
• A cached currency exchange rate with a timestamp

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party.

Currency exchange rates

Tipsy fetches live exchange rates from frankfurter.app, a free and open-source API provided by the European Central Bank. When Tipsy requests a rate, your IP address may be visible to that service as with any standard internet request. We have no control over frankfurter.app's data practices.

Rates are cached on your device for 24 hours to minimize network requests.

No tracking or analytics

Tipsy does not use any analytics, crash reporting, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking tools. We have no visibility into how you use the app.

No account required

Tipsy does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or payment details.

Children's privacy

Tipsy does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app contains no age-restricted content.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
